Privacy policy
Your workouts stay on your iPhone.
Effective October 31, 2026
The short version: the BusyFit app has no account and no servers that receive your workout data. It doesn't use advertising, analytics or tracking tools. The camera is used only to count exercise on your device, and frames are never stored or sent anywhere.
Who we are
BusyFit is made by Saiyah LLC ("we", "us"), a New Mexico limited liability company. Questions about privacy go to [email protected].
The app
What the app saves, and where
Everything below is saved in the app's private storage on your iPhone, protected by iOS data protection, and included in your iPhone backups. If you're signed in to iCloud, it also syncs to your private iCloud database, so it moves with you to a new iPhone. Only your Apple ID can read that copy; we can't see it, and it never reaches our servers.
- Your setup answers: first name if you give one, how active you are, time per day, comfortable starting targets, movements you avoid, time zone, and your weekly schedule (busy hours, days you already train, quick-move windows, space and quiet hours).
- Your workouts: exercises, counts, hold times, whether each count was camera-verified or logged by you, a confidence score, difficulty feedback, streak-day records (including rest days) and points.
- Your subscription status as last confirmed by Apple, so the app works offline.
- Small preferences, such as which tips you've seen and your preferred camera angle for each exercise.
Confirming streak days
To keep streaks fair, each streak day is checked against Apple's server time when it syncs to your iCloud. For that, the app stores a small record in your private iCloud per streak day: the date and the phone's timing readings (time since restart and a restart identifier). These never leave your iCloud. Without iCloud, streak days count on your iPhone's clock alone.
Camera
When you choose to count with the camera, video is processed frame by frame on your iPhone using Apple's on-device body-pose detection. Only the result is kept: the count, hold time and a confidence score. Frames and body-position data are not recorded, saved or uploaded. You can always log an exercise yourself instead.
Calendar (optional)
If you connect your calendar, the app reads the start and end times of events on your iPhone (including Google or Outlook accounts added to iOS) to find your busy hours and keep check-ins out of them. Event titles, places and attendees are never read into the app's data, and nothing is written to your calendar. Busy hours saved from it become part of your schedule above.
Motion & Fitness (optional)
If you turn on automatic stairs or steps, the app reads floors climbed and steps from your iPhone's motion sensors while a workout is open. Only the resulting count is saved in that workout, marked as logged.
Apple Health (optional)
If you turn on Apple Health, the app reads three things and writes nothing: steps and flights climbed (so walks and stairs in your workout log themselves, including from Apple Watch) and workouts other apps saved (so a workout of 20 minutes or more can make the day a rest day without costing your streak). For a rest day, the app keeps the workout's start, end and type (for example, "run") on your iPhone.
Data from Apple Health stays on your iPhone. It's left out of the iCloud copy described above (a rest day appears there only as a day off, with no detail), it's never used for advertising or marketing, and it's never shared with anyone. Turn it off any time in Profile, or in the Health app › Sharing › Apps › BusyFit.
Notifications and alarms
Check-ins and workout alarms are scheduled locally on your iPhone from your own schedule. If Apple Health is on, a workout saved there can also trigger one local notification offering the rest day. No notification content passes through our servers.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple. We never see your name, Apple ID, payment card or billing address. On your iPhone, the app asks Apple whether you have an active subscription and when it renews or ends, so it can unlock features.
The app creates a random identifier on your iPhone and attaches it to purchases (Apple calls this an app account token). It isn't derived from anything about you, and it's stored in the iOS Keychain, which iOS may keep after the app is deleted. We don't currently receive it. If we ever add features that rely on it, such as invites, we'll update this policy and tell you in the app first.
Diagnostics
If you turned on Share With App Developers in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share crash reports and aggregate usage statistics with us through App Store Connect. You control this in iOS Settings.
What the app never does
- No account, sign-in, contacts or location. Nothing is ever written to Apple Health or your calendar.
- No advertising, advertising identifiers, third-party analytics or tracking across apps and websites.
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
Your controls
- Export: Profile › Prepare data export saves your progress as a JSON file you can keep or share.
- Delete: deleting the app deletes its data from your iPhone. Remove it from backups through iOS backup settings.
- Camera, calendar, motion and notifications: change access any time in iOS Settings › BusyFit. Apple Health access is in the Health app › Sharing › Apps › BusyFit.
Because your workout data never reaches us, we can't see, correct or delete it for you. Everything is in your hands on your device.

Launch email list
If you join the launch list, we store your email address, the time you signed up, and the campaign link you came from, if any. We use it only to send one email when BusyFit is available, then delete the list within 30 days of that email. Ask us to delete your address any time at [email protected]. The list is stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare, which processes it on our behalf.
Visits
The site uses no cookies. We count visits in aggregate with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or identify you. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes IP addresses briefly to deliver pages and block abuse.
Children
BusyFit isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold, and to complain to a data-protection authority. The only personal data we may hold is a launch-list email address; contact us and we'll act on your request within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. If a change affects what the app collects, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
